The Bristol Virginia Sheriff’s Office Wants To Reinstate The “Project Lifesaver” Program Which Is Intended To Help Find Those Who Are Prone To Go Missing. It Provides Monitoring Devices To Aid In Locating Missing Persons, Such As Those With Alzheimer’S Or Other Cognitive Issues. The Sheriff’S Office Is Seeking 5-Thousand Dollars In Funding Which Would Purchase Two More Receivers And About 10 Additional Transmitters. Sheriff Tyrone Foster Believes Demand For The Service Will Increase Once The Community Sees What The Program Is And How It Can Help.
