An Investigation Is Continuing Into An Incident In Big Stone Gap Virginia In Which Seven Children Were Injured After A Series Of Carts Being Pulled By A Town Employee Flipped, Dumping The Children On The Pavement. It Happened During A Town-Sponsored Block Party On Wood Avenue On Saturday. Town Manager Stephen Lawson Said A Part-Time Town Employee Was Using Company-Owned Equipment At The Time. Six Of The Children Were Treated For Cuts And Bruises. One Boy Had To Be Taken To Niswonger Children’S Hospital In Johnson City For A Surgical Procedure To Remove Debris And Gravel From His Knee.
