The Tennessee Department Of Environment And Conservation Is Reporting That Over 600 Gallons Of Material Classified As A Mutagen Was Released Into The South Fork Of The Holston River Following A Power Outage At The Plant Last Week. It Was Determined That Two Spills On Friday Consisted Of An Unknown Amount Of Hydraulic Fluid And Roughly 600 Gallons Of Ethylene Glycol. Another Release On Saturday Consisted Of An Unknown Quantity Of Firefighting Foam. There Was No Impact To Fish Or Aquatic Life Observed. The Incident Remains Under Investigation.
