The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Department And Members Of The County’s 911 Center Have Expressed Pay Scale Concerns To The County Commission. County Leaders Have Added Several Expenditures To The Second Draft Of The Budget Aimed At Balancing The Pay Scale For Both Departments, Hiring Three Courtroom Security Officers And Paying For A Full-Time Maintenance Worker At Phipps Bend. This Is In Addition To Giving 112-Thousand Dollars To 911 To Institute At 30-Year Pay Scale. The Budget Committee Will Have To Finalize The Changes. They Are Set To Meet Again July 7Th.
