THE HAWKINS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND SURGOINSVILLE POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR A COUPLE ACCUSED OF ROBBING A SURGOINSVILLE MARKET. POLICE SAID THE MAN ENTERED THE QUICK STOP MARKET ON HIGHWAY 11-W WEDNESDAY NIGHT, FORCED THE STORE CLERK INTO A RESTROOM, TOOK AN UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT OF CASH, AND FLED IN A VEHICLE BEING DRIVEN BY A FEMALE. THE CLERK SAID THE MAN MAY HAVE BEEN ARMED WITH A GUN. NO ONE WAS INJURED IN THE ROBBERY. THE MALE SUSPECT IS DESCRIBED AS A WHITE MALE IN HIS EARLY 30’S LAST SEEN WEARING A SHINY BLUE JACKET, BLUE JEANS, AND A COMOUFLAGE TOBOGGAN. THE VEHICLE IS DESCRIBED AS A BLUE FOUR DOOR CAR LAST SEEN HEADING WEST ON HIGHWAY 11-W. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROBBERY SHOULD CONTACT POLICE.
