MOUNTAIN STATES HEALTH ALLIANCE HAS ANNOUNCED PLANS TO EXPAND IT’S FLEET AND MOVE IT’S BASE OPERATIONS. THE RESCUE SERVICE IS ADDING A FOURTH HELICOPTER TO IT’S CURRENT FLEET THAT WILL BE BASED OUT OF MARION VIRGINIA. THE AIR AMBULANCE’S PRIMARY BASE SITE WILL ALSO BE MOVED FROM JOHNSON CITY MEDICAL CENTER TO THE ELIZABETHTON MUNICAPL AIRPORT TO HELP REDUCE TRAVEL TIME FOR PATIENTS. WINGS HAS SERVED MORE THAN 10-THOUSAND PATIENTS SINCE 1995.
