Johnson City’S Proposed 2023 Fiscal Year Budget Includes No Change To The Property Tax Rate And Includes A 7.5-Percent Pay Increase For City Employees. The 76-Million Dollar Operational Budget Increased 9-Percent Over The Previous Year. Currently, The City Is Just Over 3-Million Dollars Short, Which Will Require Money To Be Moved From The 40-Million Dollar Reserve Balance, To Make Up The Difference. City Leaders Are Expected To Approve The Budget This Evening On Third And Final Reading. The New Fiscal Year Begins July 1St.
