The Board Of Mayor And Aldermen In Kingsport Have Unanimously Approved Moving Forward With Closing A Section Of Jared Drive At The Request Of Eastman Chemical Company. Eastman Has Requested The Closure So It Can Expand Its Railyard. City Leaders Approved Vacating A 1500 Square Foot Section Of The Road Near Riverport Road And Wilcox Drive. The Proposal Will Have To Be Passed Again At The Next Bma Meeting To Make It Final.
