A Man Accused Of Being A Serial Killer Has Been Found Competent To Stand Trial In Washington County Virginia Circuit Court. James Wright Underwent A Mental Examination And Was Determined To Have Been Competent And Sane At The Time Of The Alleged Killings Of Three Women In Mendota In 2019. They Are Elizabeth Vanmeter, Joycelyn Alsup And Athina Hopson. Wright Allegedly Admitted To The Crimes And Each Of Their Bodies Were Found In Wooded Areas With Gunshot Wounds To Their Heads. Wright Is Charged With Three Counts Each Of Aggravated Murder, Disposal Of A Body And Use Of A Firearm In The Commission Of A Felony. He Will Appear In Court At A Later Date.
