The New Spending Plan Includes Additional Funding For Southwest Virginia Schools As Well As Closing The Bristol Virginia Landfill. The Budget Also Eliminates The State’s 1.5% Grocery Tax, But Towns And Cities Can Still Collect A 1% Tax. Schools Across Virginia Will See A Nearly 20% Increase In Their Funding As A Result Of This New Spending Plan. Governor Glen Youngkin Will Still Have To Sign Off On It.
