Kingsport Public Works Will Be Getting New Radios Soon So They Can Communicate Better With One Another In A Timely Fashion. The City Recently Approved The Purchase Of New 700/800 Megahertz Radios For Various Departments Within The City. Through The Use Of $177,000 In American Rescue Plan Act Funds. Streets And Sanitation Manager Tim Elsea Said The Reason For The New Purchase Was The Old Radios Are Obsolete. The New Radios Should Be Operable By The Fall.
