NORTHEAST TENNESSEE FIRST DISTRICT CONGRESSMAN DAVID DAVIS BROUGHT SOME HOLIDAY CHEER TO SOME SOLDIERS EARLIER THIS WEEK. DAVIS PAID A VISIT TO WALTER REED ARMY MEDICAL CENTER IN WASHINGTON TO DELIVER CHRISTMAS CARDS COLLECTED FROM THE FIRST DISTRICT. ACCORDING TO THE CONGRESSMAN, RESPONSE HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING TO THE CALL FOR CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR THE TROOPS. IN JUST OVER A WEEK, DAVIS ADDED THAT HE’S COLLECTED THOUSANDS OF CARDS. CONGRESSMAN DAVIS TRAVELED TO WALTER REED TO HAND-DELIVER THE A PORTION OF THE CARDS. BECAUSE OF THE HIGH VOLUME OF CARDS RECEIVED, DAVIS SAID THEY DECIDED TO SHARE SOME OF THE CARDS WITH ACTIVE DUTY PERSONNEL IN IRAQ AND ALSO THE VETERANS AT MOUNTAIN HOME V-A CENTER IN JOHNSON CITY..
