A JUDGE HAS HANDED DOWN JAIL SENTENCES FOR TWO TRI CITIES MEN, CONVICTED OF VEHICULAR AND RECKLESS HOMICIDE IN A DRAG RACING INCIDENT THAT KILLED A WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE HOMECOMING QUEEN AND SEVERLY INJURED HER FRIEND. WASHINGTON COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT JUDGE ROBERT CUPP SENTENCED 19 YEAR OLD BRADLEY MULLINS TO FIVE YEARS IN JAIL WHILE 39 YEAR OLD DAVID PHILLIPS WILL SPEND SIX YEARS BEHIND BARS. JUDGE CUPP SAID AFTER THE MEN SERVE THEIR TIME IN JAIL, THEIR LIVES WILL RETURN TO NORMAL. HOWEVER, THE SAME WON’T BE TRUE FOR THE VICTIMS. THE FIERY CRASH RESULTED FROM THE TWO MEN DRAG RACING ON NORTH ROAN STREET IN JOHNSON CITY IN 2005. MULLINS AND PHILLIPS MUST SERVE AT LEAST 30-PER CENT OF THEIR SENTENCES.
