MODEL CITY LEADERS SAY KINGSPORT’S CITY FINANCES LOOK GOOD. ACCORDING TO THE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REVIEW, KINGSPORT’S BANK ACCOUNT HAVE GROWN BY TWO MILLION DOLLARS OVER THE PAST YEAR TO MORE THAN 17 MILLION DOLLARS IN RESERVE FUNDS. IN THE WORDS OF CITY ALDERMAN LARRY MUNSEY, IT WAS A CLEAN AUDIT AGAIN – AND THE FINANCIAL CONDITON OF THE CITY IS IN GREAT SHAPE. AUDITORS REVIEWED THE CITY’S GENERAL FUND, WATER FUND, SEWER FUND, AND OTHER FUNDS AS WELL AS THE FINANCES OF KINGSPORT CITY SCHOOLS.
