Mining Officials Are Reporting That Search Crews Have Recovered The Body Of A Harlan Kentucky Miner Following A Roof Collapse. The Body Of James D. Brown Was Located Late Last Night At D-29 Darby Fork Mine In Holmes Mill. The Mine Is Owned By Knoxville-Based Inmet Mining LLC. Brown Was A Roof Bolter Operator With 13 Years Of Experience. He Was Working About 14,000 Feet Underground When It Happened. All Mine Operations Remain Shutdown While Investigators Determine What Caused The Collapse.
