Chancellor John Rambo Has Ruled That A Bitcoin Mine Violates Washington County Tennessee Zoning Laws. The Facility Uses Computer Calculations To Verify Cryptocurrency Transactions. Both Red Dog And Property Owner Brightridge Claimed The Operation Was A Public Utility Use Allowed Under Zoning Rules, But The County Argued It Was Not. Rambo Said Red Dog Technologies Is A User And Not A Provider. The Decision Doesn’T Mean The Operation Will Be Shutting Down Anytime Soon. The Case Moves To The Court Of Appeals. A Hearing In A Few Weeks Will Set A Bond For Red Dog And Brightridge To Pay The County If They Lose On Appeal.
