The Washington County Tennessee Budget Committee Has Voted To Send A Request To County Leaders Seeking To Obtain Over 2.6 Million Dollars In Matching Funds For Brightridge To Secure Over 8-Million Dollars In Broadband Grant Money. As Part Of The Conditions, County Leaders Are Seeking An Inter-Local Agreement In Which Brightridge Promises Not To Sell Its Broadband Service In The County To Another Provider In The Future. A Second Stipulation Is The County Won’T Be Held Accountable If ARP Funding Doesn’T Meet Regulations. Lastly, Brightridge Must Return The County’S Investment Within A Decade. The County Commission Meets Again February 24Th.
