The Tennessee Department Of Health Is Reporting A Significant Drop In Covid-19 Cases In Northeast Tennessee. But Covid Deaths This Year Are 50% Higher In Our Region, Compared To Statewide Numbers. During The Week Of January 30th-February 5th, 6,898 New Cases Were Reported In The Seven-County Region, A 19% Drop Over The Week Before. Still The Region Has A Long-Way To Go Before Returning To A Pre-Omicron Surge Case Rate.
