BILL GATTON, OWNER OF BILL GATTON CHEVROLET-CADILLAC IN BRISTOL, HAS GIVEN 800-THOUSAND DOLLARS TO THE ETSU COLLEGE OF PHARMACY. LARRY CALHOUN, DEAN OF THE COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, SAYS IT TAKES THE EFFORTS OF ALL THE COMMUNITY AND PEOPLE LIKE GATTON TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. THIS LATEST DONATION IS GATTON’S THIRD MAJOR GIFT SINCE 2005, AND BRINGS HIS TOTAL CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE PHARMACY SCHOOL TO 2-MILLION DOLLARS. THE MONEY WILL BE DIRECTED TOWARD ETSU’S PHARMACY FUNDRAISING GOAL OF 16-MILLION DOLLARS. TO DATE, MORE THAN 8.7 MILLION DOLLARS IN GIFTS AND PLEDGES, AS WELL AS 1.1 MILLION DOLLARS IN ENDOWMENTS, HAVE BEEN RAISED FOR THE PHARMACY SCHOOL.
