Out Of 40 Slots For Officers, There Are Currently 22 Vacancies And The Starting Pay Is 12-Dollars An Hour. The Committee Is Recommending To The Full Commission The Consideration Of A 10-Percent Pay Increase And An Eight-Hundred Dollar Bonus For Current Corrections Officers. Parrish Warns If Any More Jailers Are Lost, The County May Have To Give Up Its 1.2-Million Dollar Federal Contract. The Full Commission Is Expected To Meet On The Matter Next Monday.
