A NEW SENTENCING DATE HAS BEEN SET FOR TWO JOHNSON CITY MEN CONVICTED IN A DRAG RACING CRASH THAT CLAIMED THE LIFE OF A HOMECOMING QUEEN AND LEFT HER BEST FRIEND INJURED. PREVIOUSLY, A JURY FOUND BRADLEY MULLINS AND DAVID PHILLIPS GUILTY OF VEHICULAR HOMICIDE, RECKLESS HOMICIDE, RECKLESS AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, FELONY RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT AND DRAG RACING EARLIER THIS YEAR. MULLINS’ VEHICLE SLAMMED INTO THE BACK OF AN SUV BEING DRIVEN BY COURTNEY HENSLEY. SHE WAS KILLED IN THE FIERY CRASH WHILE COURTNEY BEARD SURVIVED BUT SUFFERED SEVERE BURNS TO HER BODY. A NEW SENTENCING HEARING IS SLATED FOR DECEMBER 17TH IN WASHINGTON COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT IN JONESBORO.
