AN ELIZABETHTON MAN IS FACING CHARGES AFTER POLICE SAY HE WAS INVOLVED IN THE THEFT OF SEVERAL ITEMS FROM A LOCAL BUSINESS. ELIZABETHTON POLICE BEGAN INVESTIGATING ITEMS MISSING FROM ART’S FINER HOMES ON HIGHWAY 19E. 24 YEAR OLD RICKIE BOWLING IS CHARGED WITH THREE COUNTS OF BURGLARY, FOUR COUNTS OF VANDALISM OVER 500 DOLLARS, TWO COUNTS OF BURGLARY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, ONE COUNT OF THEFT OF PROPERTY OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS, ONCE COUNT OF THEFT OF PROPERTY UNDER 500 DOLLARS, AND ONE COUNT OF VANDALISM UNDER 500 DOLLARS. THE MANAGER OF THE MOBILE HOME PARK TOLD POLICE HE DISCOVERED SOMEONE HAD FORCIBLY ENTERED A PEPSI MACHINE IN FRONT OF THE BUSINESS, STOLEN THE MONEY INSIDE, AND CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT MULTIPLE TOOLS VALUED IN EXCESS OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS WERE STOLEN FROM TWO WORK VANS AS WELL AS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE TO THREE MOBILE HOMES ON THE LOT. ACCORDING TO CAPTAIN RUSTY VERRAN, THE CASE BEGAN TO UNRAVEL WHEN AUTHORITIES CAME TO ARREST BOWLING ON A VIOLATION OF PROBATION WARRANT. BOWLING IS SLATED TO APPEAR IN CARTER COUNTY GENERAL SESSIONS COURT ON DECEMBER 10TH.
