A JOHNSON CITY MAN ACCUSED IN THE TRAFFIC DEATH OF A CITY WOMAN HAS HAD HIS CASE BOUND OVER TO A WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE COUNTY GRAND JURY. 56 YEAR OLD THOMAS CAMPBELL IS CHARGED WITH VEHICULAR HOMICIDE. CAMPBELL IS REPORTEDLY LEGALLY BLIND. THE CHARGE STEMS FROM A MAY 26TH CRASH THAT LEFT 62 YEAR OLD BRENDA COOK DEAD. COOK WAS STRUCK BY CAMPBELL’S CAR AS SHE WAS CROSSING WEST MAIN STREET. SHE DIED LATER DURING SURGERY AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL. COOK WILL APPEAR IN CRIMINAL COURT TO FACE THE CHARGES SOMETIME NEXT YEAR.
