A Wise County Virginia Grand Jury Has Indicted A County Man In Connection With The Shooting Of Norton Police James Lane In May. 36 Year Old James Buckland Is Facing A Total Of 17 Counts Including Attempted Murder Of Lane, Use Of A Firearm In The Commission Of Attempted Capital Murder And Several Other Charges. Chief Lane Was Answering A Call At A Local Shopping Center When Buckland Allegedly Opened Fire On Him And Other Officers. Buckland Is Set To Be Arraigned In Wise County Circuit Court On August 23Rd. A Trial Date Is Expected To Be Set At That Time. Buckland Remains Behind Bars.
