A Johnson City Woman Has Announced Plans To File A Lawsuit Against Ballad Health. Former Johnson City Medical Surgical Patient, Ruth Blankenship, Said Someone Has To Take Responsibility After A Contracted Travel Nurse Mishandled Controlled Substances And Potentially Exposed Patients To Diseases. Roughly 100 Patients Were Sent Letters Warning Them About Potential Exposures To Hepatitis Or HIV. Blankenship Said She Was Offered Labs And Treatment. Her Initial Results Came Back Negative And She Has To Get Tested Again In Six Months. District Attorney General Ken Baldwin Is Investigating The Incident And Declines To Discuss The Matter Until The Probe Has Been Completed.
