A WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING AND EXTORTING MONEY FROM HIS FORMER EMPLOYER HAS BEEN SENTENCED IN U.S. DISTRICT COURT IN GREENEVILLE. GREGORY SIBBITT PLED GUILTY EARLIER TO INTERFERING WITH COMMERCE BY THREAT OR VIOLENCE AFTER SENDING A THREATENING E-MAIL TO HIS FORMER EMPLOYER ICG/HOLLISTON INVOLVING THE RELEASE OF CONFIDENTIAL BUSINESS INFORMATION. HE WAS ORDERED TO SPEND 30 MONTHS IN PRISON FOLLOWED BY THREE YEARS OF SUPERVISED PROBATION. SIBBITT WAS ALSO DECREED TO PAY 171 DOLLARS IN RESTITUTION.
