The Carter County Commission Could See A New Communications System Installed Soon. During A Special Called Meeting, County Leaders Received Information On The New System That Is Expected To Cost Around 3.5 Million Dollars To Purchase And Install. Captain Tom Smith Said The Reason The Price Tag Is So High, Is Because Its Designed To Meet All The Needs Of Ten Different Agencies. Its Expected To Cover 95 Percent Of The Mountainous County. Commissioners Will Decide On The New System At A Later Date.
