A JOHNSON CITY BASED CHILDREN’S SERVICES WORKER ACCUSED OF THREATENING TO KILL HER HUSBAND IN FRONT OF HER CHILDREN HAS HAD HER CASE BOUND OVER TO A SULLIVAN COUNTY GRAND JURY. 40 YEAR OLD SHERRY CUMMINGS OF BRISTOL TENNESSEE IS CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC ASSAULT. SHE’S ALLEGED TO HAVE HELD A GUN TO HER HUSBAND’S HEAD AND THREATENED TO SHOOT HIM INSIDE THEIR HOME ON SMILEY CIRCLE EARLIER THIS YEAR. CUMMINGS’ CHILDREN ALLEGEDLY WITNESSED THE EVENT. OFFICERS SAID CUMMINGS SMELLED OF ALCOHOL, APPEARED INTOXICATED AND WAS UN-COOPERATIVE. SHE HAS BEEN A DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN’S SERVICES TEAM COORDINATOR SINCE DECEMBER 2005. SHE REMAINS FREE ON BOND. CUMMINGS’ NEXT COURT DATE IS DECEMBER 14TH IN SULLIVAN COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT.
