A SHOOTING AND KNIFING AT A KINGSPORT BUSINESS OVER THE WEEKEND LEFT TWO BROTHERS INJURED. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED FRIDAY NIGHT AT CHECKCASH XPRESS ON JOHN B. DENNIS HIGHWAY. POLICE SAID THE TWO MEN HAD BEEN ARGUING PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT WHEN 46 YEAR OLD RICHARD MIMS ALLEGEDLY CAME AT HIS BROTHER WITH A KNIFE. 45 YEAR OLD RAYMOND MIMS, WHO OWNS THE BUSINESS, CLAIMED HE THEN SHOT HIS BROTHER IN THE LEG WITH A .380 CALIBER HANDGUN. BOTH WERE TREATED AT SEPARATE AREA HOSPITALS. CHARGES ARE PENDING AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE INVESTIGATION.
